Metadata
Two kinds of metadata can be added to Ektron CMS400.NET content
- Metadata that resides in the source code of a Web page. Examples include the title and meta tags. This data helps search engines find your Web page (illustrated below).

- Metadata that appears on your Web site's search page, below the standard search fields. This type of metadata, known as "searchable property," helps site visitors find content on your Web site (illustrated below).
These search criteria also appear when a user clicks the search button ( ) on the View Contents of Folder screen. See illustration below.
If your site supports multiple languages, you create metadata definitions for each supported language.
