Student Support Services at Hutchinson and Newton

Student Support Services is a federally funded program designed to assist eligible students in successfully completing their college education.

Students are eligible for program services if they are planning to graduate and/or transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and meet one or more of the following criteria:  1) low income (most students receiving PELL grants meet this criteria); 2) first generation college student (no parent in the childhood home graduated with a bachelor's degree); 3) documented disability.

Services may include tutoring, supplemental instruction, counseling, seminars, assistance with study skills, academic advising, cultural activities, and college visits.

Hutchinson: For more information about the free academic support services in Hutchinson, please contact the Student Support Services Director, Jeannette Cecil at 620-665-3309 or Assistant to the Director, Anna Elder  at 620-665-3564. Student Support Services is located on the main floor of the Parker Student Union.

Newton: For more information about the free academic support services in Newton, please contact the Tutoring Coordinator at 316-283-7000.
