Student Support Services at Hutchinson and Newton
Student Support Services is a federally funded program designed to assist eligible students in successfully completing their college education.
Students are eligible for program services if they are planning to graduate and/or transfer to a baccalaureate granting institution and meet one or more of the following criteria: 1) low income (most students receiving PELL grants meet this criteria); 2) first generation college student (no parent in the childhood home graduated with a bachelor's degree); 3) documented disability.
Services may include tutoring, supplemental instruction, counseling, seminars, assistance with study skills, academic advising, cultural activities, and college visits.
