Institution-Wide Assessment
HCC has already established the following four institution-wide outcomes:
I. Demonstrate the ability to think critically and make reasonable judgments by acquiring, analyzing, combining, and evaluating quantitative and non-quantitative information.
II. Demonstrate the skills necessary to access and manipulate information through various technological and traditional methods.
III. Demonstrate effective communication through writing and speaking.
IV. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
Courses on the following general education list should address all four of the institution-wide outcomes. Instructors of those courses should look at how they assess course outcomes. Those assessment instruments are likely to address at least one of the four institution-wide outcomes. After identifying the connection between courses assessment and the institution-wide outcomes, instructors should complete the matrix below and submit it to the Assessment Committee.
